Without this driver selection (and the edit of the Task sequence) then you would be letting MDT use its PnP technology only to decide which drivers it thinks is best to install which can cause no drivers or the wrong drivers to be installed during deployment.Ībout the Panasonic drivers if you created a selection profile with the model of Panasonic then only the drivers you specified in that selection profile will get installed. The profile selections are what allow you to have total control over what drivers get injected into what model. Does anyone know is there a step I am missing or anything I can check or change to get this to work?
Network driver not working windows 10#
I'm using MDT 2013 and the Windows 10 ADK on Server 2012R2. This time though I had forgotten to put in the steps to use the make and model specific drivers and it installed all of the correct Panasonic drivers they even showed up in add/remove programs, which now has me thinking it either is not honoring the set task variable sequence step or I am missing a step somewhere. After multiple failed attempts at trying to get them to install again I tried to create a new deployment share and added just one of the programs as an application to see if I could get at least one of them to install. However when I went back and deployed to my Panasonic again nothing would install and I get the ugly yellow error screen when trying to install the utilities in the application process. So I went ahead and started to create another image for our Dell desktop PC's, after deployment I checked there were no devices in device manager needing drivers and I thought everything looked good. I just added them as applications and was able to get them install in my deployment image everything was working fine. It didn't install all of the drivers and utilities reguired by Panasonic but I thought that was just the way Panasonic provided the installs. I first started getting our Panasonic image created. I have verified that I have the correct manufacturer and model by using the following WMIC commands: I have both Panasonic as well as Dell device and have setup my out-of-box drivers folder just as suggested in this link as well as countless other sites that I have seen. I have been able to install MDT and deploy Windows and my applications just fine (for the most part). Hey Guys! I'm trying to use MDT for the first time and get a deployment server setup.
